The Baseline Evaluation
The Executive Health Evaluation (EHE) begins with a comprehensive medical history outlining the patients past history, personal, and social history, family history, psychological history, nutritional history, exercise history, and review of systems. A complete physical examination including a rectal examination and a complete neurological examination is performed on all patients. Additionally, men receive prostate and testicular examinations, while women receive breast and pelvic examinations.
The laboratory portion of the evaluation includes
- Complete Metabolic Profile
- Fasting Insulin Level
- Hemoglobin A1C
- Iron
- Total Iron Binding Capacity
- Ferritin
- Lipid Profile
- Homocysteine
- High Seneitivity C-reactive Protein
- PSA (male) Cortisol
- FSH, LH, Testosterone
- Dihydrotestosterone (male),
- Estradiol, Progesterone (female)
- DHEA, TSH, T4, T3, IGF1, IGFBP3
- 25-OH Vitamin D
- Complete Blood Count
- Urinalysis
The imaging portion of the evaluation includes DEXA scanning to determine both Bone Mineral Density and Body Composition (weight and percentage of body fat).
Patients also receive a Cognitive Screening Test that looks for evidence of mild cognitive impairment, a risk factor for Alzheimer's disease.
